shes beautiful!!! cant wait til my hair is that length

  3. sameshitdifday

@SGmom2 I never said she wasn’t beautiful, nor did I say she wasn’t beautiful with her hair. I actually like her hair, I just refuse to call those curls when they aren’t.

  4. SGmom2

@sameshitdifday There is no denying here. She is beautiful with her, curls, kinks, naps or however you choose to define her hair. Be blessed and I hope tomorrow is not filled with shit for you. Maybe if the shit is out of your life, you will be a happier person :-)

  5. sameshitdifday

@SGmom2 In denial, I see. Well, that’s your problem, not anyone else’s. But the reality is that you’re wrong, so sorry about that. These aren’t curls, and nothing you say will change that. Be gone.

  6. malinamih

    @SGmom2 yup.

  7. SGmom2

@malinamih Please show me where I said kinky hair is the ONLY beautiful hair? My daughter has butt length practically straight hair and it is beautiful. I have very long tighly curled hair and it is equally as beautiful. My husband has stick straight hair and it is beautiful. I appreciate all types of beauty. You are getting your panties wadded up for nothing my wavy-haired dear. Read b4 u go off on someone. Kinky hair is only hard to manage IF you don’t know what you are doing. Be blessed!

@SGmom2 wow you have a problem. ‘get a grip and let go of your insecurities’.when have I ever said or behaved in a ‘sissy bitch feeling insecure’ behaviour like you did?you annoyed me b/c you said that only people with kinky hair are lucky.no shit.i don’t think they really much are.yes,curly/kinky hair is gorgeous but extremely hard to manage.so i’m lucky too.

  9. SGmom2

@malinamih So why be annoyed b/c I think she is equally as lucky? Everyone should embrace what they have. You should be annoyed at the negative comments a/b her texture not one of praise. Get a grip and let go of your insecurities.

  10. malinamih

@SGmom2 you annoy me.every hair texture is beautiful no matter if it’s 1c,2a/c,3b/4c,a whatever.i’m was born with wavy hair and I’M LUCKY.

  11. SGmom2

@sameshitdifday However you choose to define it is fine. Naps/kinks are simply tight curls and I am sorry our creator didn’t bless you with them. Her beauty shouldn’t intimidate you. There is someone for everyone, even assholes like you.

  12. sameshitdifday

@SGmom2 Girl shut yo ass up and stop complaining. These are not curlys, bitch. They’re naps, no matter how much you dislike that fact! Deal with it and stop whining, shit.

@hellokittycutie2003 btw someone already commented saying the same thing to me…..so thanx but not needed

  14. XxmollyoliviaxX

@hellokittycutie2003 lol idk i wrote that 3 weeks ago so i don’t really remember why i wrote that………..but its pretty random :)

  15. hellokittycutie2003

@XxmollyoliviaxX Kinks are tightly coiled curls…so yes, it’s STILL curly. Nothing wrong with calling it kinky, but both are interchangeable with this textured hair. And no offense, but what does being half black have to do with anything?

  16. MrTonyCejas

@MrTonyCejas And when she pulled her hair back…Oh, I think I just died…

  17. MrTonyCejas

Beautiful woman…I wish there were more sistas like her around my way…

  18. Nanty005

    Cute and pretty. Thanks :)

that last look sucked.. i’m sorry, but i’m wondering who this vid was for.. natural women or white ppl styling natural women? I’ve been natural since i was 14 btw, but the little tendril fly away look just takes more time than the model had in order to really pull it off.

i do appreciate Ford Models shooting this video though, and the model is very beautiful.

I thought that maybe this would have more of a step-by-step daily styling guide. It is all about updos and that kind of thing. So, helpful if that’s what you’re looking for, but no tips for the normal day-to-day style or enhancing curl, etc.

I am delighted to have found a book entirely dedicated to updos for curly hair. For many years, I tried to make my hair look straight by tying it really tight. In the recent past, I have worn my hair short so as not to bother with buns and ponytails for straighties. A few of the updos presented by Ms. Nicole Siri can be worn everyday. Another plus, the spiral bound feature of this book allows me to follow along as I learn and practice the styles.

I spent most of my life with straight hair in a bob or similar cut. I never learned how to do anything more complicated than fix my basic style or put in a pony tail the few times my hair was actually long enough.

Several years ago, my hair began to change. It has gotten curlier and curlier over the last ten years. I now have unquestionably, naturally curly hair! I also decided to grow it out and it’s now several inches below my shoulders with long layers (long enough I can still have a pony tail without bobby pins.) My problem was that I had no clue what to do with all these long lovely curls. I had three options: down, pony tail or pull the sides back in a barrette. The last two methods were a nice change and kept it out of my face, but tended to make me feel a bit like a teenager.

I spent hours searching through YouTube videos trying to get ideas with very little success. Then, I found Strictly Curls! Oh my goodness, it is wonderful. Even for a complete hair ditz like myself almost all of the styles are doable. Each style is ranked from one to three flowers to give an idea of the challenge level. No, I don’t always get it right the first try, but so far I’ve eventually been successful with every style I’ve attempted. I’ve even “invented” a few of my own when I did something wrong, but still managed to rescue it.

Many of the styles are very quick and easy once you have them down, but so very much cuter than a plain old pony.

There are styles for all different lengths, but the majority of them are going to work best if your hair is at least a little below or maybe at your shoulders and if you don’t have short layers. My long layers haven’t caused any issues so far at all. Of the sixteen styles described, only three are acceptable for hair above your shoulders, so I wouldn’t really recommend the book for those with shorter hair.

No complicated or expensive accessories are required either. I don’t believe there are any styles that require more than bobby pins, a scrunchy or covered bands. There is a short section at the end though that tells you how to fancy up your basic bobby pin with cheap do-dads from the craft store.

I seldom ever do reviews, but just had to share my excitement over this book with others. If you don’t know what to do with your long curls – get this book!
